SMS Terms and Conditions

1. Program Description

Contravariant, LLC ("Contravariant," "we," "us," or "our") operates a text message (SMS) notification program (the "Program") that sends personal reminders and event notifications to subscribers who have opted in. The Program is currently used to notify a limited set of individuals designated by Contravariant, LLC (initially the business owner and their spouse), and may be expanded in the future to additional subscribers, use cases, and message types at our discretion, subject to this policy and applicable law.

Message types may include, without limitation: personal reminders, event and appointment notifications, scheduling updates, and other informational messages related to Contravariant, LLC's Program.

2. Opt-In / Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively opting in (e.g., by submitting a web form, replying to a keyword, or other clear affirmative action), you consent to receive SMS text messages from Contravariant, LLC at the mobile number provided. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the notifications you are subscribed to. You may receive up to approximately 8 messages per day, depending on triggering events.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. Contravariant, LLC does not charge for the Program itself, but your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to all messages sent and received.

5. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a one-time confirmation message and you will no longer receive SMS messages from the Program. If you wish to re-subscribe, follow the applicable opt-in process again, or contact us using the information in Section 8.

6. Help and Support

Reply HELP to any message from the Program to receive assistance information, or contact us directly using the information in Section 8. For questions about your mobile plan's text or data rates, contact your wireless carrier.

7. Supported Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Program is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier coverage and reliability are not guaranteed and may vary.

Your use of the Program is also governed by our SMS Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including mobile phone numbers and opt-in consent records.

10. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile telephone number provided, to opt in to the Program.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the Program, including as it expands to additional subscribers or message types. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Program is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Contravariant, LLC does not guarantee that messages will be delivered in a timely manner or at all, as delivery is subject to factors outside our control, including wireless carrier networks. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contravariant, LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your participation in, or inability to participate in, the Program.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
